    1. I really agree. This is an issue I've been involved in since being drug into one of those hive-mind feeding frenzies (on the side of the one being attacked). There are some people who have never forgiven me for trying to STOP them from being jerks to other people. So I was very happy to see this post and see that more people are becoming aware that this is a serious issue.

    2. So sorry to hear you went through this too, Katy. I'm getting a lot of pretty horrific stories from other victims. The thread of comments on the Passive Voice, which picked this up, is kind of heartbreaking. Hive minds can be the most malevolent force in the universe. One sociopath can lead otherwise sane humans to do unspeakable evil.

    3. There have been a lot of us. Goodreads is particularly bad and has been for almost a year now, and they love to drag things back out that you said 8 months ago and point to them as proof that you're some sort of baby-killing Satanist or something. Usually horrible things like "Why would you say such a mean thing to the person who wrote this book," which, of course, proves that you are a author-ass-kissing jerk of some kind. *shakes head* I have never understood where these people get off acting like this.
