#Cancer Journey - short update
Hopefully some of you noticed I was gone and wondered why... Long story short, I became very ill over the weekend - my body was purging or something - and since I was also extremely fatigued I was not awake enough to drink enough Gatorade to keep me hydrated, so I ended up in the hospital from Sunday night until today. I'm home now, more and more hopelessly behind. Plus my cats are seriously hacked off at me, since Dmitry does not understand his proper place in the household and kowtow to and spoil them properly... So, lots to do to fix this. As always, your support and encouragement are appreciated.

So sorry to hear it, Katy. I'm glad you got some help and got rehydrated again. I hope you're feeling better soon, hope things keep getting better.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Cheryl! *hugs*
DeleteKaty, so sorry you have been so ill.. do know that I am praying for you, for recovery, for comfort.. and for things to make you smile....
ReplyDeleteLinda Tvedt
Thanks, Linda. As the nurse who took care of me this week could tell you, I definitely have kept my sense of humor... :-)
DeleteSo sorry to hear that. Take care of yourself. *hug*
ReplyDeleteMany well wishes!
ReplyDeleteYou know, stress isn't great on the body - I don't think anyone would take it amiss if you cut off like, a few days ago, and didn't worry about catching up past that :)
I did wonder where you had gone, and I wish you strength.

Thanks Sharon and Peter. Zoo Crew... I might miss something important, though, like someone being wrong on the Internet, and we can't have THAT! What I was doing before this was to go through new stuff first, check for important things, and then go back to the old stuff and work through it slowly...
ReplyDeleteYuck! :-( I hope the coffee is better in your hospitals than ours. Glad you're home and on your feet again.
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
MTM
The coffee is awful. I won't drink it. Anyway, I needed to avoid diuretics (obviously, being dehydrated and all), so I mostly drank water and Gatorade.
DeleteThinking of you, Katy, and sending prayers and healing thoughts. Loving the waving kitten- so sweet!

Thanks, Cas! I'm so excited that your new book is coming soon!!
DeleteYES you were missed and I like a lot of others figured you felt pretty bad from the treatments. I know if you don't feel thirsty it's hard to drink anything and keep it down. But please try my friend......
ReplyDeleteI have trouble with plain water, which tastes sort of iodine-y now. I'm drinking a lot of Gatorade. Thanks for your support!
DeleteSo sorry you had such a rough week and glad you are home again. Thinking of you and hope you stay on the tight side of this fight.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Yvonne, I appreciate that.
DeleteSo sorry you had such a bad time. Hugs! <3
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dana; and thanks for the comment on my last post, too. Since I was putting up a new one, I didn't respond to it, but I saw it. *hugs*
DeleteThere are so many ups and downs to the process, and I'm hoping the ups soon start to squeeze out the downs. You are a brave lady with a great attitude. I so admire your spirit. Strength to you!
ReplyDeleteGlenn
Thanks, Glenn. Of course, you aren't here to see my moaning and groaning and complaining... *laugh*
